In 2011, Pages & Chapters was founded on the belief that collaboration among families and teachers strongly enhances students’ overall academic experience, especially in the area of reading. When teachers engage families, families feel included in the academic development of their children. Research suggests that families construct a partnership-focused role when teachers reach out and engage them (Walker, Ice, Hoover-Dempsey, & Sandler, 2011). Pages & Chapters encourages teachers to engage families and promote literacy through collaborative efforts among teachers and families.

Pages & Chapters is determined to help students achieve academic success by enhancing their literacy skills and fostering a love of reading by providing support, resources and encouragement to teachers in Title 1 schools in order to engage families in literacy. For more information, visit
